Our hair thrives and stays strong if it receives the correct balance of nutrients and proteins. In other words, as long as it receives the nutrients that it needs, it will look shiny and stay strong. Almost every brand today is producing shampoos and conditioners that are created especially for the different categories of skin types. Therefore, you must keep an eye out for such shampoos for dry hair as they hold the proteins necessary to revitalize your hair.

Hair tends to get brittle and dry due to the prolonged application of chemicals. Therefore, shampoos and conditioners that are created using fresh herbs and fruits are recommended. These natural ingredients allow the scalp and the hair to receive the correct balance of nutrients and proteins, without damaging it. The use of such natural products becomes all the more essential if you have dry brittle hair.

While washing your hair, use only lukewarm water as hot water can further damage it. While rinsing out the shampoo, you must use cool to cold water as this allows the roots to become stronger and therefore helps to improve the overall quality of the hair.

Hair extensions have become a craze with everyone from pop stars to the girl next door wanting this quick solution to get long, beautiful tresses. Hair extensions can utilize both natural hair or synthetic hair or a mix of both. Natural hair extensions are more expensive than synthetic ones.

Application

The hair extensions is braided around the real hair strands and heat sealed with a bonding agent. Always get hair extensions done by a professional hair dresser. If you attempt to do it yourself, you might end up spoiling the whole look as it is a very complicated and time consuming procedure which has to be done according to specifications.

Although, how long you want to keep your hair extensions is totally your decision, normally well applied extensions last for anywhere from three to four months.

Hair extensions need to be cared for in the same manner as chemically treated hair. Use good quality hair products as hair extensions wear off slightly with every wash.

To remove the hair extensions, gently snap the seal by twisting it. Better still, get the extensions removed professionally.

Disadvantages

The glue burns your hair ends.

Excess pressure on scalp due to weight of extensions.

However, the advantage of quickly having a great new look far outweighs the disadvantages.

The only way to permanently deal with split ends is to cut your hair. In case you are not ready for that, the following steps can be followed to temporarily deal with split ends from day-to-day:

1. Shampoo your hair with a cream-based formula.

2.After the shampoo has been washed out; apply a conditioner onto the ends of the hair.

3. Wash out the conditioner thoroughly and then rinse your hair with cold water. This will add strength to the roots of your hair.

4. Towel-dry your hair and then use a leave-in conditioner while the hair is still damp.

5- Comb out your hair with the help of a wide tooth comb.

6. Apply shine serum onto your hands and glide your hands through your hair. Add extra shine serum on the ends of the hair.

7. Blow-dry your hair with the help of a round brush.

8. Focusing on the split ends, dry your hair out as straight as possible because if your hair remains wavy, splits ends become all the more visible.

9. When you are sure that your hair is completely dry, a heat protect product must be applied onto the hair. Next, you must further straighten out the ends with the help of a ceramic flat iron.

Coping with the rapid pace at which the world is moving, we sometimes get so caught up that we forget to take care of ourselves specially our feet which we take most taken for granted. With continuous running around our feet are left cracked causing bleeding which is not at all desirable. To keep your feet healthy and beautiful a regular foot treatment will be the right choice. All of us dream of having those perfect pair of feet we can show off in those amazing pair of stilettos. Its time you turned your dream into a reality.

The quickest and the easiest treatment would be scrubbing your feet everyday after you come back from work. You could buy a scrub that contains essential oils and easily massage your feet and leave for 5-10 minutes then wash it off with warm water.

You could also moisturise your feet everyday after a bath every morning and night. This will keep your feet soft. If you have aching feet from continuous pressure you could use combinations of essential oils like 1-2 teaspoons of Jojoba oil, 2-3 drops of cypress and 3-4 drops of tea tree. Mix the oils together and pour it in a bucket of warm water and place your feet in the bucket and leave for 5-10 minutes, then place your feet in a bucket of cold water in which green tea is mixed. A simple foot massage can keep your feet healthy. Use warm olive oil or sesame oil for massage. It would be more effective if you put socks on afterwards when you go to sleep. One could also use paraffin wax, which is known making your feet soft and healthy. It increases blood circulation and unclogs the pores of the skin, which in return would absorb the required moisture.

Age spots-Solar spots or solar lentigos, are brown spots on your skins which are about an inch in diameter and are caused due to years of exposure to the sun.

Age spots mostly show themselves on the face, back of your hands or chest. These are the areas of the skin that is most exposed to the sun through out your lifetime.

The easiest and the best way to prevent age spots from appearing on you would be to avoid sun exposure. Sunbathing is out of the question as it will make things only worse and use sunscreen regularly, preferably SPF 15 or higher. However this will not help you to get rid of the age spots that you already have. It will only prevent more age spots from appearing.

If you are keen on reducing or fading the already appeared age spots, you should go see your doctor or a dermatologist. Your doctor can recommend a prescription or over the counter skin cream which contains retinoic or alpha-hydroxy acid.

If you do follow these recommendation and use creams containing these chemicals it is a must that you use sunscreen every time you step out of the house because these creams are known to increase the sensitivity of the skin to the exposure of the sun.

Laser treatment is another alternative to rid yourself of age spots. Though the method of treatment is expensive, it does offer immediate results.

Stretch marks, also known as Striae Gravid arum, is a term that refers to the scars that are caused due to the damage inflicted upon the elastic fibres that help the skin to stretch. It is perfectly normal to have stretch marks, most women and even men have them.

What stretch marks would look like would depend upon the colour of your skin. Stretch marks start out as pink, rust colour, brown, or very dark brown streaks. After a period of time they fade to a more silvery colour that is lighter than your skin.

Stretch marks can occur almost anywhere on your body, but most common places are the buttocks, hips and breasts. There is no way to avoid stretch marks. It’s simply a matter of genetics, which mean, it depends how elastic your skin is.

Many people use cream in order to rid themselves of the stretch marks but what they don’t know is that no matter how much cream you use, it wont be effective on their marks. Though scientific research today claims that there are creams that may overcome the problem. Apparently, using 0.1 % of tretinoin cream, also known by the trade name Retin-A, on stretch marks will reduce the length and the width of the mark to a small extent.

Laser therapy can also be considered for getting rid of stretch marks. In this procedure the surgeon uses different types of lasers depending on your skin colour. But it would be advisable to speak to a surgeon and get full detail of the procedure before taking any big step.
